Andy is widely recognised as an expert in health, mental health and aged sector client-related behaviour management and he maintains a strong personal and professional interest in mental health, dementia, human relationships and behaviour. He is frequently engaged by organisations and professionals seeking guidance around human behaviour issues in the health, community services, aged care and tertiary education settings. He is a Registered Nurse, Mental Health Nurse and Health Counsellor as well as a highly skilled, experienced educator and trainer. Andy is also an accredited Principal Master level Mental Health First Aid trainer. Andy brings a relaxed but engaging and passionate approach to training and his extensive clinical experience provides him with the stories that provide richness and relevance to the learning experience of workshop participants. Andy’s expertise has been recognised through nominations for the Margaret Tobin Award for excellence in mental health service in 2005 and 2011, and for the South Australian Nursing Excellence Award in 2003, 2004, 2010 and 2012, an acclaim he won in 2004.
