Michelle’s study into photography started over 25 years ago at New York’s International Centre of Photography in their Documentary and Photo Journalism Program. Her passion for the connectiveness that photography has given her has never wavered and she would like to share that now with others. Michelle’s work has appeared in publications such as Marie Claire, Good Weekend and Sunday Life Magazine and she have exhibited her photographs both in Australia and the US. Her current photographic practice focuses on documentation of local artists as well as long term photo essays with a social relevance which explores community and the interrelationships of daily life.
Michelle has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and has taught Year 11 &12 students in technical workshops at Cape Byron Rudolf Steiner School and Community Connections in Lismore. She brings enthusiasm and encouragement to her class with an aim to inspire student and help them to focus on their own relationship to taking photos.
