“My work in paint attempts to make sense of our human interactions with elements of the real and imagined landscape. The moment of awareness; of being, struggling, growing, swimming, flying or imagining inspire most of the movement in my work which is obsessed with creating an atmosphere of timelessness.” Heika BrahaHEIKA BRAHA’s painting uses images which translate ideas of humanity and the landscape. “I live on a rural property, yet close to ocean. My work is therefore influenced by the natural elements of the beach and rainforest landscapes and includes elements of environmental sensitivity, as well as exploring the ongoing interaction of humanity with the landscape”.

The work of HEIKA BRAHA is regularly exhibited at respected commercial and regional galleries in Sydney & Northern NSW. She has completed numerous commissions for public buildings and private collections and has lectured at University & TAFE. Her studio is on the outskirts of Federal village near Coorabell, in the Byron Hinterland and is approx15kms from Byron Bay.
