Resume
I wanted to be an Architect but found it too expensive to study that, so at nineteen I enrolled in a certificate 3 in the Architecture of clothing; Fashion Design. This was a 3 year course at QLD College of Arts, and I was lucky to find work in the early 80’s as the industry had already moved off shore. I have recently completed a Diploma in Fashion Design and Technology at North Coast Fashion Studio.
During my career in the Fashion Industry I have worked for numerous companies in Brisbane, Sydney, and Byron Bay. The main companies are Studio Domino, Lisa Ho, Events (30 shops throughout Australia) and Anna Middleton, and the positions held were as Textile Designer, and Designer Patternmaker.
I currently have a Patternmaking Business, servicing local labels with off shore and local production. My career in the industry has spanned over 30 years, and I am still passionate about design.
