Denis Madeleine
After working as horticulturist for more than 20 years, he became disillusioned with the amount of pesticides he was using in his garden maintenance & landscaping business. He then decided to join Permaculture Sydney North in 2006. There, he attended workshops, meetings and got involved with permablitzes in the suburbs of Sydney. In 2009, he sold his horticultural business and went to Denmark, Western Australia to do his first PDC with Living Waters Permaculture Foundation. In 2011, he joined Permaculture College Australia where he did his APT Cert.4 under the supervision of Robyn Francis. In May 2012, he went back to Mauritius (his native country) where he introduced Permaculture. There, he taught workshops, consult, write articles and build networks for 3 years before returning to Australia march 2015. He has since been building his permaculture business, Permalife Services where he consults, designs & implements permaculture gardens and after doing his Cert.4 in Training & Assessment, he has been working on a casual basis as a permaculture tutor to Cert.3 students with Byron Community College.
