Gisela Conechado is a local artist who loves dancing. She performs Polynesian Dance for private and community events from Ballina to Brisbane.
Including dancing at Robina Stadium for the 2015 NRL Pacific Double Header!
Gisela dances with Heilani Polynesian Cultural School QLD, Na Pua Australia QLD, Hula Ohana Byron Bay and was with local Byron Shire troupe Mana Aloha.
She has a belly dance back ground studying with Tatiana Keller and performing with the Spirit Belly Dance Troupe.
As a teenager she studied Kathakali Classical Indian dance with Padma Menon but stopped dancing for many years after being injured in a motor vehicle accident. Slowly healing takes place and she now finds joy and strength in dancing again. “The heart is a natural dancer”.
Gisela continues to study the Hawaiian dance of Hula, 'Ori Tahiti, Samoan Siva, Maori Poi and Belly Dance.
