Jane is a Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in the community / welfare and tertiary education sectors in both urban and rural environments. She has extensive experience in working with a wide range of people, including people with substance use issues and people with mental illness. Jane has over 10 years experience working as a lecturer and tutor at Southern Cross University and has taught certificate courses in Community Services at Byron Community College.

Jane’s experience in counselling, group work, community development and teaching make her a highly skilled and responsive group facilitator. She loves teaching and working with groups and is passionate about creating a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment in all of her courses. She currently works part-time managing outreach health clinics for homeless people in the Northern Rivers.
