I was lucky to have a couple of wonderful teachers when I was in high school whose expertise in art history opened up many cultures of the world to me. Those teachers' influence had an impact on the direction of my life, encouraging me toward art school in Sydney, onto post graduate studies in Canberra and later a Master’s degree in Melbourne. Over the years I have worked and studied in aboriginal communities in the NT and WA, lived and exhibited in LA and NYC and taught art in various settings ranging from the children’s' education program with QAG to maximum security men’s prisons. My own practice is multi-disciplinary, and focused on exploring embodied experience and interconnectedness.
