Multi facetted Suvira McDonald is an award-winning Australian artist who may be found working in the forested hinterland of Byron Shire in northern NSW, Australia. Initially trained in Ceramics and receiving an MA from Southern Cross University in 2000, Suvira maintains an art practice that identifies landscape and the exploration of materials as central concerns. His work is a diverse collection of sculptural forms in various media, for any location and the production of ceramic vessels and tableware.

He has received numerous awards for his sculpture and ceramics and has been selected to show in Sculpture by the Sea in Sydney. He has ceramics and sculpture in various public and numerous private collections. When not welding, carving, assembling elements or firing ceramics Suvira also teaches at Byron Community College and is a freelance writer and curator.
