Nicole Haggerty is a highly experienced and qualified teacher of IT – she understands the need for patience, engaging students and is known to speak in English not gobbledegook!
In 1988 I was a secretary working for Xerox, we each had an electronic typewriter and there was one Mac desktop that sat on its own desk and was only used by the Engineer once a week when he came to check his “electronic mail”. I coveted the Mac and all the wonders it beheld. Before long I was the envy of all secretaries when given special permission to type some letters on it.
It was this initial interest that led me to undertake a graduate degree in computing – I knew how to use them but wanted to know what was in the black box and how it all worked.
Unbelievably it wasn’t until 2007 that I bought my first computer and it had to be a Mac. I have been converting people ever since.
