If you’ve always wanted to learn electric MIG welding but have never had the opportunity, here’s your chance. Let metal Artisan / Fabricator, Nyree take you on a journey to greater independence and practical, creative empowerment through the amazing world of metalwork!

You’ll be instructed on types of welders and their uses before specifically focusing on the versatile mig welder. We’ll compare gas vs. gasless set-ups, learn about different metals, types of welds and problem troubleshooting.

Step by step we’ll explore how to prepare a space, and yourself, for safe and effective welding. There will be plenty of hands-on-tools action to practice your welding skills as well as steel grinding, sanding and shape forming.  All this while creating your very own decorative steel jewellery/ pencil case to take home.

If you’re interested in sampling this trade or exploring its creative and practical possibilities, this course is for you. This is a women's only class and requires no previous metalworking experience.

Your tutor, Nyree, is a metal artisan/ fabricator with over 30 years’ metalworking experience.
