Learn the fascinating art of Indigo and Shibori! Students will learn the basics of traditional Shibori techniques: Arashi and Bomaki (pole wrapping), Itajime (clamping) stitching, binding and wrapping to create beautiful patterns.

Also learn the art of creating an Indigo vat, without having to wait weeks for it to mature!

What to bring

  • small amount of white, prewashed fabric
  • quick unpick
  • scissors
  • washing up gloves
  • ball of polyester string
  • strong thread(poly) and needles
  • 9ltr bucket with lid
  • $50 to pay tutor
