Encounters with Poetry

As Poet T.S. Eliot said, “Genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood”.

But imagine being able to understand it...even just a little, even though there will always be something about poetry that eludes understanding. Join this informal course to learn strategies for reading and appreciating poetry and to discover some fantastic poems in the process. Don't be afraid!

By the end of the course you will have developed confidence in reading poetry and trusting your own responses to it. You'll be well on your way to knowing how to unlock the stored magic that poetry is.

Important information
