Want to get your children into the garden? Your backyard may be the most essential learning space your family can have. In this course, you will learn how to use whole-systems thinking strategies to create a living-learning laboratory where children can play, eat healthily and understand nature.

Learn how to apply permaculture principles within curriculum guidelines to support homeschooling, nature-based learning or caring educators.

Join our experienced permaculture tutor Lucy Legan - Lucy has walked the permaculture and sustainable living talk for over 20 years. A best-selling author of educational books on sustainability literacy, public speaker, and long time ecologist, Lucy is passionate about encouraging children, educators and individuals to take environmental actions to make a difference.

Her timely book, Planet Schooling - How to create a permaculture living laboratory in your backyard, supports families to become more resilient in their home space.

  • Please note - although this course is aimed at teaching children about their backyard, it is designed for adults to learn how to teach their children, so we request for insurance purposes childern under the age of 15 don't attend.
