A businesses success is strongly linked to how recognisable and distinct they have been able to make their brand. It will discuss the importance of designing how a brand is perceived in the beginning, how this identity will be remembered and how it forms a vital part of business success. You only get one chance to make a first impression so making the most of your brand identity from the beginning makes good business sense.

In this workshop participants can expect to look at finer details of what makes a brand memorable and how to apply these findings to their own enterprise.

Presenter, Ben Goad has over 20 years of measurable creative thinking and doing. Working as a designer, art director and creative director in the agency space for a diverse range of clients including; Australian Government (ACCC, FOS, CCC), State Government of Victoria, ARUP Global, Simply Energy, Aurecon, UBS, KPMG, Australian Road Cycling, YESnowboards, Desktop Magazine, Alinta Energy, Olympus and Tango Energy.

Specialties: Brand: identity development, positioning, strategy and guidelines. Hands on creative and group direction across all forms of marketing and communications.

Important information

This course is subsidised under the NSW Government’s Tech Savvy Small Business program, part of Smart and Skilled funding, and aims to support small business owners and their staff by providing fully subsidised training in targeted courses.

To be eligible for Smart and Skilled training, you must be:

  • An Australian Citizen, permanent resident or humanitarian visa holder, or a New Zealand citizen and
  • Be aged 15 years or older, and
  • Live or work in NSW, and
  • No longer be at school or equivalent

To be eligible for Tech Savvy Small Business training, you must be the above, plus:

  • An owner of a small business, OR
  • An employee of a small business

A Small Business is defined as a business with:

  • 20 employees or less, OR
  • An annual turnover of less than $2,000,000.
