Introduction To Portrait Sculpting

This class will teach you about bone structure and relationships of key features of a human head. Skull anatomy, proportion of key features of the head, facial expression, racial variation in bone structure and facial features, gender variants, details of sculpting features in clay similar to carving, details of hair sculpting will all be covered. You will take home a completed 3D portrait in clay that you may cast or fire in a kiln at a later stage. Additional materials $80.

  • Art notebook
  • Apron
  • Spray bottle for water
  • $80 fee for the tutor for additional materials (clay and wooden armature)
  • Wear comfortable/casual shoes and clothing
  • Bring your personal sculpting tools if you have them already or the tutor will have tools available for you to purchase for $30.

Important information

Once your enrolment is completed you will receive a confirmation email. This email will be your receipt and inform you of the dates, time and venue of your course, it will also let you know of anything you need to take to class with you.
