Playing With Paint, Conquering Painting Fears

This course has no current classes. Please the waiting list.

This course is for those whose heads get in the way of their creative expression. Part of learning how to paint is to learn some basics about the elements of design & then get stuck into learning how the medium behaves. Your inner child will be asked to take control here! You won’t be painting pictures of ‘things’. You will be familiarising yourself with the medium, how it behaves and how to use the elements of design expressively.

This course is intended to be one in a series of art courses, (Drawing For Beginners, Drawing The Human Figure, Accentuate The Positive and Simple Printmaking) and is a pre-requisite for the design course 'Accentuate The Positive".

What students say

"Excellent course for freeing our latent creativity. I created some pieces of art I was really happy to acknowledge as mine"

“The course did what the title said - by playing with paint in a structured way it enabled any fears I had to fall away,” Q. Wright.

  • Large sketch pad (A3 minmum)
