Are you interested in caring for our native and natural environments?

Bush Regeneration is the rehabilitation of land from a weed affected or otherwise degraded area to a healthier community of native plants and animals. From bushlands to costal dunes or rainforests or wetlands, the aim is to restore and maintain the ecosystems health by helping the natural regeneration of indigenous plants.

In this short course we will look at a ‘whole of environment’ integrated approach that encourages the bush to ‘bounce back’. Learn about the impact of weeds, stormwater and altered fire regimes and the basic skills required to assist in the maintenance of bushland areas. Involving both theory and hands-on practical components you will learn how to restore biodiversity and improve habitat quality on your property or someone else’s.

This Bush Regeneration course is a great way to get outdoors and meet like-minded people. You’ll also find yourself learning about the local native plants and animals.

  • I most enjoyed learning how to identify native plants from weeds. Also to get insight into ways to manage a site to start to restore it to a functioning native ecosystem. I learnt a lot and appreciated Jacqui's great teaching.
