An Accidental Counsellor refers to anyone who is not employed as a counsellor, however finds themselves in a counselling role expected to deal with someone in emotional distress.

You could be a frontline worker in an administrative role, a nurse, teacher, hairdresser, coach, support worker, complimentary health practitioner etc.

You will learn how to be an effective empathetic listener and learn a clear and practical framework in which to support the person in emotional need. The training is designed to help you feel more confident and capable in these situations and also in other challenging experiences that you may encounter in the workplace and in your life.

Within the counselling process, you will have the opportunity to try out these simple key counselling techniques in a safe and supportive environment.

Important information

Once your enrolment is completed you will receive a confirmation email. This email will be your receipt and inform you of the dates, time and venue of your course, it will also let you know of anything you need to take to class with you.
